How you adapt to change? Do you resist it? Or you cope with it? Change is a part of our life. As it is told nothing stays constant everything changes according to its time. But do people accept that change easily? A metaphoric description is what Dr. Spencer Johnson had done in this book.

It is a simple parable that reveals profound truths. The story revolves around four characters who live in a maze and look out for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. How they deal with change when the cheese is lost and how they adapt the new way of living, is the whole concept of the book.

While cheese is used as a metaphor for what you want to have in life- Love, Relationship, Money, Job, Peace of Mind. And the maze is the place where you look for what you want- The organization you work, or in the family or community you live.

This book is a perfect choice if you face difficulty dealing with change. After reading the words of Johnson you could decide which path is better, also get the importance of change in your life. Change leads us towards various new things and this story would help you see change, not as a part of losing one thing but gaining ten new things. The characters placed in the story help you decide who you want to be like while coping with change. Moving with the cheese is necessary. Even the denial factor is explained thoroughly, commonly seen in a long-running organization where the head is in denial while experimenting new things because they have a mentality that change leads to failure but the truth is, not changing with time is the path towards downfall, explained in a creative fictional manner by Johnson.

So this lockdown period could be the best time to pick this book since we are experiencing various changes these days. This book might be of great advantage while coping with the current situation.
